Housatonic River Walk
Great Barrington Land Conservancy, Great Barrington
River Walk follows the west bank of the Housatonic River between Cottage Street and Bridge Street. The trail’s two sections are linked by Dresser Avenue and River Street. The upstream section extends from the River Walk bulletin board at 195 Main Street to the William Stanley Overlook. The trail exits at the stairs to St. Peter’s Church parking lot on Dresser Avenue. The downstream section of the trail begins adjacent to the Berkshire Corporation parking lot on River Street and ends at Bridge Street. Visit Spring, Summer, and Fall during daylight hours.

Hillrock Distillery is known for the finest hand-crafted spirits made with their own grain, floor malted, craft distilled in our copper pot still, aged in fine oak and hand bottled at their estate in the Hudson Valley Highlands. Hillrock’s gracious visitor center is integrated with the Distillery and overlooks the Estate’s barley and rye fields. Their tasting room and bar provide customers with an opportunity to sample and purchase their fine whiskeys at the distillery. Tours of the Distillery are by appointment only and can be arranged by calling the Distillery.
