Are all of your rooms pet friendly?

We have designated rooms that are specifically designed for four-legged comfort! Our pet friendly building is Woodside, and we have one pet friendly suite in Sunnyside. Pets are never allowed in any other rooms for the comfort of other guests. Pets are allowed to walk, sniff, and roam anywhere outside on property except for the pool area, but pups are allowed to swim in the lake! Please note that pets are not allowed in Morgan's Restaurant or any other dining areas.

Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?

We do! You can request an early check-in the morning of your arrival in Canary. For $25, your room will be ready by 2pm. This request goes straight to our front desk staff who can approve or deny it based on availability. Late checkout prices vary based on what time you want the room until, please chat with the front desk staff upon arrival!

Are there any Ubers or Lyfts in the area?

Nope! Back in the day, people would take trains to Lakeville and stay with us for entire seasons because of the lack of transportation. Maybe we should just keep that going? Anyway, we have a list of local car services that need to be booked ahead of time, especially for service back to any airports.

Is there good cell phone service on property?

This area does not have a cell tower yet! So, we have reliable high-speed wifi in all of our buildings that is complimentary for all guests. Please make sure you have you "wifi calling" on when you arrive. If don't know what that is, our staff will happily help you get set up!

You will still experience little to no coverage (depending on your provider) when you are outside, especially at the lake. This is a great place to disconnect from your phone and be present in our beautiful landscape!

I'm attending a wedding and the ceremony starts at 4pm - do I get a complimentary guaranteed early check-in?

To avoid any stress to arrive and get ready on time, wedding blocks are set for guests to arrive the day before the wedding. This way, couples get to offer their guests a destination wedding experience and you get a mini vacation!

If you are arriving day of, we recommend you arrive ready to head to the ceremony! Our housekeeping staff works hard, but we cannot guarantee early check-ins on these busy days and the early check-in process is the same as previously mentioned!

What is your most modern accommodation?

The Main Building! This is the hub of our property and includes rooms that were renovated, refurnished, and redesigned just a few years ago. If you like modern, you'll love the main building!

Where can I park?

Anywhere! Our parking lot is first come first serve.

Do you have electric car chargers?

Yup! We have two by JuiceBar located to the left of our main entrance and labeled with green signs. These spots are first come first served.

Does Morgan's Restaurant require reservations?

No, but they are strongly encouraged- especially during the summer months. Request a reservation here or call the front desk at 860.435.9878!

Where are the best hiking and walking trails?

We are so lucky to be in an area with so much outdoor recreation. Hiking and biking is huge around here, and there are so many incredible trails! Check out our favorites, here!

I have a room code for a wedding I am attending- what is the discount?

Wedding blocks do not include discounted room rates, they are simply a way to guarantee that there are enough rooms for wedding guests! Room types and allotments are chose by the couple and their planner.

Does the restaurant have outdoor seating?

Our property is full of places to sit and relax outdoors. There are plenty of picnic tables, chairs, swings, and benches. Plus- most rooms have their own outdoor seating areas. So, the restaurant does not have outdoor seating but guests are welcome to order takeout and make it a picnic, anytime!

What is your cancellation policy?

When you book a stay at The Interlaken Inn we take a deposit of a one night stay + tax for all standard rooms. Certain suites take a full deposit and are non-refundable, these suites include: The Basha Cottage, The Penthouse, The Countryside Cave, and The Waterfront Cottage. Should you need to cancel, you must do so within 7 days of your arrival to get that deposit back, minus a $25 bank processing fee. This processing fee is what it costs to process the refund, so it comes out even if you cancel way in advance. If you are cancelling within 7 days of your arrival, there is no money back. Of course- we are understanding humans too and do our best to be flexible when possible!
