This holiday season, we spent time reflecting on how special the Interlaken Inn is and how lucky we are to have so much to offer to our guests. Each thing feels like a gift.
The Gift of Location
The Interlaken Inn is located in the northwest corner of Connecticut, which is right in the middle of New York and Massachusetts. Given that, we are conveniently located to major cities while being secluded enough to provide a country experience full of quiet moments in nature. The surrounding area is quaint and full of local businesses run by friendly, happy people.
When you visit the Interlaken, even your travels to our property will be an escape from any hustle and bustle. You’ll find there is so much to explore and enjoy.
The Gift of Outdoor Recreation
It’s no secret that the Interlaken and its surrounding area is very outdoorsy. We are known for our lakefront fun, heated outdoor swimming pool, nearby hiking trails (including the Appalachian trail & Mount Washington), tennis courts, and golf course next door at Hotchkiss. Plus, there are many local ski mountains that have the best slopes in the winter & outdoor activities in the summer- like zip-lining at Catamount!

The Gift of Interlaken Inn Weddings
Weddings at the Interlaken Inn are like no other in the area. We offer full weekend experiences where wedding guests can stay the entire weekend and attend all wedding events, right here on property. We host the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, after party, farewell brunch, and provide all the activities in between with our amenities. Plus, we have our immaculate bridal suite and private cottages for getting ready and gathering with loved ones.
Our scenic property offers incredible backdrops for photos with all the trees, flowers, and lakefront views. Even for our winter weddings, the snowy grounds make for timeless photos.
The Gift of Morgan’s Restaurant
Our on-site restaurant, Morgan’s, offers delicious breakfast, brunch, and dinner, while also providing all the catering for our events and weddings. The restaurant itself includes a full bar and comfortable atmosphere from the large windows and cozy fireplace.
Given that we are in such a remote area, having this option for food right in our main building is extremely convenient for our guests- especially those that don’t bring their own car! Our staff is always ready for help you find something good to eat and enjoy your experience at the Interlaken Inn even more.
The Gift of New Indoor Amenities
This past year, we renovated our lower lobby and added the screening room, brand new vending machines, a breakfast window that serves smoothies, lattes, and bagels, and the group exercise room as a part of Studio Lakeville. These additions allow for more things to do during the colder months where all the outdoor recreation we love isn’t available.
We also have our game room and massage services, making it so there really is something for everyone in your family to enjoy!
