Interlaken Announces Liberal Cancellation and Attrition Policy To Combat Uncertainty in the Meetings Market

LAKEVILLE, CT January 19, 2009… Interlaken Resort & Conference Center in Lakeville, CT rolled out it’s new zero-liability cancellation and attrition clause today. Valid on Complete Meeting Packages (CMP) booked with arrival dates through June 15th, the clause is now being written into all meeting contracts.

The clause eliminates all assessments for any amount of attrition, including full cancellation, up to 48-hours from the arrival date for meetings booked through mid-June. Dan Bolognani, Interlaken’s Director of Sales & Marketing, stated “This zero-liability clause may ease the contract-anxiety for some of our Fortune 500 clients who have been loyal customers over the years”. Recent economic stresses on the meeting markets has prompted the Interlaken to offer its clients the ability to reserve critical meeting dates while preserving the option to cancel or reduce the meeting size if needed.
