The Interlaken Inn is just two hours from New York City, 3 hours from Boston and 90 minutes from Albany, NY.

To get here from NYC via mass transit - take Metro North out of Grand Central. You'll want the Harlem Line - via Brewster, NY (Northeast Station) to WASSAIC STATION in Amenia NY. Some trains are direct, and some require changing trains at Brewster - Northeast Station.

Wassaic Station is just 15 minutes from the Interlaken Inn. From there - take a cab to our property. We recommend that you arrange a taxi in advance by calling one of these local companies and letting them know your train / arrival time:

From Metro North - Southeast Station - (46 miles) Head west on Independent Way toward Route 312 (less than one mile) then turn right at Route 312 for about 3 miles. Turn left at Route 22 North, and continue to follow for about 40 miles. In Amenia Rt. 22 will merge with Rt. 44. In Millerton, NY turn right to stay on Rt. 44 East. Rt. 44 East will cross in to Connecticut within 5 minutes. In CT take the first right turn, Rt. 112 East. Interlaken Inn will be 1.5 miles on right.

From Albany - (65 miles) I-87 (NYS Thruway) east on to the Berkshire Extension (I-90 east). From I-90 take exit B2, and go south on the Taconic State Parkway. Take the 'Route 23' exit, and follow Rt. 23 east into Massachusetts. In South Egremont turn right on to Route 41 south. Follow Rt. 41 through Salisbury and Lakeville, CT. Turn right at Route 112 (blinking light at Hotchkiss School) and the Interlaken Inn will be 1/4 mile on left.

From Hartford, CT - (42 miles) From mid-town pick up Route 44 West and proceed toward West Hartford. Remain on Rt. 44 through Avon, Winsted and Canaan, CT. In Canaan turn left and head South on U.S. Rt. 7. In the town of Lime Rock (About 15 minutes after you turned onto Rt. 7) turn right on to Rt. 112 West. Interlaken Inn will be 6 miles on the left.

From Bradley International Airport - (52 miles) Exit Main Gates and bear Right on Rt. 20 in Granby, CT. Follow Rt. 20 to West Granby Rt. 219 (turn left) Continue on Rt. 219 but bear right on to Rt. 318. You will cross the reservoir at this point. Continue on Rt. 318 for another 10 minutes, to Rt. 44. Turn right on to Rt. 44 and follow Rt. 44 until you reach Canaan, CT. In Canaan turn left on to Rt. 7 South. Follow Rt. 7 for about 10 miles. In the town of Lime Rock (About 15 minutes after you turned onto Rt. 7) turn right on to Rt. 112 West. Interlaken Inn will be 6 miles on the left.

From Westchester County Airport - (72 miles) Exit Main Gate and head West to I-684, ½ mile. Turn right and head North on I-684. At Brewster I-684 ends, and leads directly on to Rt. 22. Make no turns and follow Rt. 22 North. In Amenia Rt. 22 will merge with Rt. 44. Continue North on Rts. 22 & 44. In Millerton turn right to stay on Rt. 44 East. Rt. 44 East will cross in to Connecticut within 5 minutes. In CT take the first right turn, Rt. 112 East. Interlaken Inn will be 1.5 miles on right.

From Metropolitan New York - (108 miles) Take Major Deegan North / West to New York State Thruway (I-87). Continue on Thruway to I-287. Head East on I-287 to I-684 North. Head North on I-684. At Brewster I-684 ends, and leads directly on to Rt. 22. Make no turns and follow Rt. 22 North. In Amenia Rt. 22 will merge with Rt. 44. Continue North on Rts. 22 & 44. In Millerton turn right to stay on Rt. 44 East. Rt. 44 East will cross in to Connecticut within 5 minutes. In CT take the first right turn, Rt. 112 East. Interlaken Inn will be 1.5 miles on right.

From JFK Airport - (106 miles) Take I-678 North to Hutchinson River Parkway. Merge in to the Hutchinson River Parkway North. The "Hutch" merges on to I-684. Continue on I-684 North. At Brewster I-684 ends, and leads directly on to Rt. 22. Make no turns and follow Rt. 22 North. In Amenia Rt. 22 will merge with Rt. 44. Continue North on Rts. 22 & 44. In Millerton turn right to stay on Rt. 44 East. Rt. 44 East will cross in to Connecticut within 5 minutes. In CT take the first right turn, Rt. 112 East. Interlaken Inn will be 1.5 miles on right.

From Long Island - (105 miles) Take Port Jefferson Ferry to Bridgeport, CT. In Bridgeport take Rt. 8 North toward Waterbury. Continue on Rt. 8 North, through Waterbury, to Thomaston. Exit at Thomaston / Rt. 254 exit, turn left off ramp. Follow Main St. Thomaston to Junction of Rt. 254. Turn left onto Rt. 254 North to Litchfield (8 miles). At end of Rt. 254 turn left to enter the village of Litchfield. In center of Litchfield turn right on to Rt. 63 North, toward Goshen, CT. At Goshen traffic circle bear straight through and continue on Rt. 63. In Falls Village (about 10 miles) turn left on to Rt. 126. Follow Rt. 126 for 2 miles; At intersection with U.S. Rt. 7, turn left, and follow Rt. 7 South for 2 miles. Then turn right on to Rt. 112 West, Interlaken is 6 miles on left.

From Stamford, CT Area - (80 miles) Follow I-95 to U.S. Route 7 North (Norwalk). Go North on Route 7 through Danbury where it will merge with I-84 for a short time. Exit I-84 in Brookfield and continue on Route 7 North through New Milford, Kent, Cornwall until you reach the Town of Salisbury / Lime Rock. Turn left on to Route 112 West. Interlaken Inn will be 6 miles on the left hand side.

From Points in New Jersey - From I-287 East, cross Tappan Zee Bridge. Continue on I-287 through White Plains (Westchester Ave.). Exit Right and head North on I-684. At Brewster I-684 ends, and leads directly on to Rt. 22. Make no turns and follow Rt. 22 North. In Amenia Rt. 22 will merge with Rt. 44. Continue North on Rts. 22 & 44. In Millerton turn right to stay on Rt. 44 East. Rt. 44 East will cross in to Connecticut within 5 minutes. In CT take the first right turn, Rt. 112 East. Interlaken Inn will be 1.5 miles on right.

From Boston, MA - (160 miles) Take I-90 (Mass Pike) West to Exit 2 (about 2 hours). At Exit 2, turn Left off ramp, and then bear Right at intersection. Follow Rt. 102 West, for about 5 miles, to Stockbridge, MA. In Stockbridge, merge with U.S. Rt. 7; Turn Left at The Red Lion Inn, and follow Rt. 7 South to Great Barrington and points South. Continue on Rt. 7 into Connecticut, until you reach the town of Falls Village and Lime Rock (about 15 minutes into CT). Turn Right at Rt. 112 West; Interlaken will be 6 miles on left.

From New Haven, CT Area - (68 miles) Take Rt. 8 North, through Waterbury, to Thomaston. Exit at Thomaston / Rt. 254 exit, turn left off ramp. Follow Main St. Thomaston to Junction of Rt. 254. Turn left onto Rt. 254 North to Litchfield (8 miles). At end of Rt. 254 turn left to enter the village of Litchfield. In center of Litchfield turn right on to Rt. 63 North, toward Goshen, CT. At Goshen traffic circle bear straight through and continue on Rt. 63. In Falls Village (about 10 miles) turn left on to Rt. 126. Follow Rt. 126 for 2 miles; at intersection with U.S. Rt. 7, turn left, and follow Rt. 7 South for 2 miles. Then turn right on to Rt. 112 West, Interlaken is 6 miles on left.

From Poughkeepsie, NY Area - (38 miles) Take U.S. Rt.44 East to Amenia, NY. Note that there is a time savings to use Rt. 44a to skirt the town of Millbrook, NY. Continue on Rt.44 East as it merges with Rt.22 North in Amenia. In Millerton, NY Rt. 44 Turns East again. Continue on Rt.44 as it crosses the CT State border. In Connecticut bear right at Rt. 112 (first right turn in the state). Interlaken Inn is 1.5 miles on right.
