Celebrate July 4th with Interlaken!

OK, so maybe you missed out on getting away this holiday weekend, but we all know that July 4th is right around the corner and now is the time to make your plans at the Interlaken!  We still have rooms available, but call early to get your preferred accommodation!  Relax at Sunnyside on the wraparound porch with a Harney and Sons Iced Tea and a good book.  Play a game of catch with your granddaughter in our Courtyard area.  Take a swim in our outdoor heated pool.  Take a canoe out on Lake Wononscopomuc, the deepest lake in Connecticut.  Go for a walk on the Appalachian Trail.  Taste some wine at Millbrook Vineyards.  Challenge your son to tennis!  Play 9 holes next door at the Hothckiss Golf Course.  See a concert at Infiniti Hall.  Enjoy a deep tissue massage from ELLORA.  Stop at Morgan’s for dinner and treat your tastebuds to an amazing dinner.  Rent our Honeymoon Suite and take an evening dip in the hot tub and listen to the peepers.  And don’t miss the fireworks at Lime Rock Park!

Congratulations Graduates!

Three of our neighboring private schools – Hotchkiss School, Salisbury School and Berkshire School - all have commencement ceremonies tomorrow, so we’d like to wish all of the students and families a big Congratulations! Doesn’t it seem like yesterday that you first visited us for that oh-so-important interview? And now here it is, four years later, with many visits to the Interlaken and the beautiful Litchfield Hills behind you! Many students fall in love with this area and make many return trips back to visit this special place, so we hope to see all of you again in the near future! Thank you to all of those who have stayed at the Interlaken – it was completely our pleasure to serve you!

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!

Team Community Out-Reach Challenge

Kristy Barto, our Corporate Sales Manager, has just introduced the Team Community Out-Reach Challenge, another addition to the many Team Building programs that Interlaken offers. This one definitely gives backs! Read more from Kristy:

“The Team Community Out-Reach Challenge activity has been designed to be included as part of our unique team building activities (ie. Radical Race, Team Olympics, Raft Excursion or Culinary Challenge). As part of the team building activity you choose, teams will earn (through points and/or completion of tasks) the products that will be included in a donation to an organization in your community. This challenge is customized to suit your company’s desires to donate to an organization that you identify or Interlaken staff can provide you with options of organizations in need. The goal of Team Community Out-Reach is to create a sense of camaraderie within your group, provide unified accomplishment and service to an organization which will make a difference and to have fun!”

The Interlaken is the perfect place to host your team building activities – come build a raft at our lakefront and give back to your favorite organization all at the same time! To find out about this brand new concept, contact Kristy at kristy@interlakeninn.com! For more team building information, click here!

A Wedding Guest’s View

Another gorgeous day in Northwest Connecticut!  Naturally, I had to wander outside to see what was happening and there was the Interlaken Wedding Pavilion looking as pretty as ever!  The gardens surrounding it are simply beautiful, getting more lush and colorful every day.  Now that we have our virtual tour set-up on our website, I have to get creative with some shots that you may not see.  I decided to go under the pavilion, sit at a table, and start clicking.  Here’s what I saw:

I walked in here....

Sat down....

and admired the garden view!

The perfect cocktail reception site

The Iris's in full bloom!

So grab up to 225 of your family and friends and show them the view from under the Wedding Pavilion at the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville CT!
