Woof, Woof! The PawPurrazzi Gala event is almost here!
Raj was adopted from The Little Guild 2 years ago by Laura Hess-Hay, owner of ELLORA Spa & Sanctuary. Raj goes everywhere with Laura - he is the most sweetest little dog ever! To quote Laura: "He saved my life".
Just one week away in celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Little Guild in West Cornwall, CT being held here at the Interlaken property! It’s going to be a big event, and it should be – 50 years of taking care of homeless dogs and cats deserves a huge celebration! The staff at The Little Guild have been working very hard in preparation of this event, and it promises to deliver alot of fun for you and your pet. The day starts at 11am on Sunday, October 24th with “Yappy Hour” – a trip to the lake for food and friendly canine competition. The afternoon will consist of an Interlaken brunch, vendors, auction items, “high tea” with Harney and Sons – and much more! Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased in advance by visiting The Little Guild website (click here). Come and support this wonderful organization and enjoy an afternoon out with your beloved pooch! If you would like to make an overnight of it, we have put together a special package – just click here for more details.

Fans of Morgan's – time to vote!
For all of you who write to me, telling me how wonderful your dinner experience was in Morgan’s at Interlaken, and for all of those you tell our front desk staff at check-out how amazing your dinner experience was in Morgan’s – now is the time to spread the word and let all of Connecticut know! It’s time for the 33rd annual Reader Restaurant Survey hosted by Connecticut Magazine, and time to let the secret out about Morgan’s. There are many categories of restaurants to choose from, and given the comments I’ve received from you it seems like “Best Hidden Gem” is the category that suits Morgan’s perfectly! It’s very easy to cast your ballot – you just need a minimum of your 5 favorite restaurants in 5 different categories – and with so many great restaurants in Connecticut it will be easy to commend your favorites! So start thinking food and vote today! Haven’t tried Morgan’s yet? There is still time – come and experience us within the next two weeks and you will still have time to vote by November 1st. Oh, and did I mention that when you enter you have a chance to win some great prizes? Being rewarded to give your opinion on food – sounds like a great deal! Click here to cast your vote now!
A Jack-o-lantern Welcome
So yesterday the Interlaken staff enjoyed a bountiful Harvest lunch complete with pumpkin and butternut squash soup, stuffed turkey breasts, mashed potatoes, root vegetables, mini butternut squashes stuffed with crabmeat, homemade cranberry and of course freshly made pumpkin pies! Delicious! Anyway, that gave everyone good energy to grab a huge pumpkin (from Salisbury Garden Center) and grab a huge knife and start carving! Some of us still carve each year (thanks to little ones) and there were others who haven’t carved since they were little – so it was fun to see everyone be a kid again!
Now these great Jack-o-Lanterns are displayed on the Interlaken’s front entrance and are waiting to say hello to you! You are seeing some here, but you know you have to see them all lit up at night! Come for an overnight, or come for dinner at Morgan’s, or come for coffee and dessert after a movie – any reason to visit us when it’s dark and the jack-o-lanterns are lit!
