Interlaken's Bridal Expo
Getting married and still in search for the perfect wedding venue? Getting married and you've already found your perfect wedding venue here at Interlaken? We've got you both covered!
Now is the ideal opportunity to come and experience Interlaken's wedding style at our very first (drum roll please...) Bridal Expo on Sunday, April 13th from 11am to 5pm. This is the biggest site tour we've ever done!
You will be able to see it all from the pretty lakeside ceremony site to the comfortable Guestroom accommodations to the dinner reception under the wedding pavilion. This is your chance to meet the vendors that put together all of the fine details from the flowers at the ceremony site to the centerpieces to wedding cake to the music that will get every family member up and moving for the night.
You'll be able to hear some ceremony music, sample some savory hors d'oeurves, admire unique floral arrangements, taste some amazing chocolate and meet face-to-face the many wedding professionals that will work hard to make certain your day is perfect.
Want to experience Interlaken from start to finish? Join us Saturday night, April 12th for a package created just for this show. Get to know Interlaken's Wedding Coordinator for some one-on-one time talking about your special day by reserving our Bridal Expo Package.
Mark your calendars!
Sunday, April 13th
11am to 5pm
It's the best day ever for one stop wedding shopping!
Eating of the Greens
Why was the tomato embarassed?
He saw the salad dressing.
There's nothing like fresh greens to do the body good, and the season for freshly picked local greens is right around the corner. We know as soon as the snow melts and the seeds are planted by the local farmers we will once again be blessed with fresh crops to make the most flavorful, savory and healthy salads served in Morgan's restaurant. The Heirloom Kale Salad with Local Honeycrisp apples, Black Olive Crunch, and Hazelnut is one of my favorites.
Morgan's is open 7 days a week and reservations are happily accepted.
It's true that "Good Things Come in Small Packages", so we've created some package options for those couples that have a want or a need for a smaller wedding celebration or vow renewal. The same quality of fresh food, warm efficient service, and close attention to detail, just on a smaller scale.
Although our venue is known for its wedding destination reputation, we have areas on property that tend to be more intimate, and we've got packages created around those special areas. Our first offering, for example, is at our Sunnyside house, a beautiful Victorian House set atop a hill overlooking the 30 acres of Interlaken. This house offers twelve Guestrooms, and private wraparound porch and perhaps most of all, a wonderful winding staircase for any bride to descend from.
We've created some options for you, but if you have something else in mind, please do let us know. It's your day and should be just how you want it. Contact Brandon Scimeca to start planning your perfect occasion.
What is going on behind this closed door?
It's a wonderful group of ladies all gathered in the coziness of one of our Townhouse Suites for a weekend of scrapbooking! And this.
I couldn't visit empty handed!
This scrapbooking group of ladies visit us twice every year, twice a year, to make certain they preserve all of their memories on colorful paper or digitally on their laptops. This Spring their gathering was a bit more intimate than usual, held right in one of our two-bedroom Townhouse Suites. As you can see a long table was brought in and clothed so each lady had the perfect amount of room to scrap (well, can we ever have enough room?!) Turn the music up! Walk around in your socks! Wander upstairs to take a nap so you can stay up all night! Stroll into the full kitchen, boil some tea and get a snack! Turn on the TV! Have all the comforts of home but without the chores or distractions - just a full weekend devoted to scrapbooking! Hmmm, count me in!
Our two bedroom Suites are perfect for about 6 adults and can accommodate any crafting group - quilting, sewing, crotcheting, needlepoint, stamping, spinning... if your supplies are mobile then we've got the room for you! Although we encourage dining in our restaurant for all of your meals, each Suite does have a full kitchen, just in case you have a Chef in the group. Gather your closest crafting buddies and come stay in one of our two bedroom Suites this Spring - we'd love to welcome you soon!
A Sweet Suite
You heard it hear first. Our new Penthouse Suite is coming soon!
Although many Guests would see the Penthouse sign in our main building and assume it was a Guestroom, it was in fact a small meeting room for many years, perfect gatherings for groups of 20 or less, and cozy intimate dinner gatherings, such as this from Thanksgiving 2012:
We then added a large screen TV and called it our "Skip Barber Racer's Lounge" where race fans could relax and meet up with other lime rock visitors. With a few years of talk about making it into a premier Guestroom at Interlaken, demolition began in early 2014 and the room is approaching completion and is set to be ready for sale in late March. I hope all goes according to plan as I am quite anxious to see this beauty set atop our main building roof with distant views of Lake Wononscopomuc, perhaps enjoyed from the rooftop hot tub?! Want some more details that are in the works? OK, click here! I won't tease you any further, you'll just have to wait and see how it all comes together.
So you heard it here first and you'll see it here first as I'll be sure to post photos at its unveiling in a few short weeks. We love improving our spaces!
