Did you miss the first ever Bridal Expo at Interlaken this past weekend? How could you?! No worries, here's a photo re-cap...

Weekly Penthouse Peek
As the progress for the new Penthouse Suite moves into its final stages, I thought it would be fun to share it's progress each week until its completion in late April/early May.
Seeing the plumbing and electrical aspects of the construction aren't nearly as fun as watching the new fireplace go in!
Can't wait to see what is new next week!
The Penthouse Suite at Interlaken coming this Spring. Our most deluxe accommodation yet.
National Garden Month
April is finally here, the month that trees and flowers being to open. I am always excited to look to see what Spring has sprung from one day to the next. Right now, I watch as the snow continues to melt and the garden beds are revealed inch by inch. Soon the warm sunshine will transform the property into this once again, and grace us all season long with beautiful displays of color and scents all around the Interlaken.
Leaving the Big Apple
It's never been easier to get out of the Big Apple and up to the pretty Connecticut countryside at Interlaken Inn with our "Getaways from New York City" package. It's so simple: just buy a ticket on the Metro North Railroad to Wassaic at either 1:47pm or 3:43pm and we'll have a shuttle waiting for you to bring you to our front door. Here, you can leave all of the everyday hustles and bustles of NYC life behind you as we get you settled in one of our comfortable and quiet Guestrooms. Stroll around the property and watch as the first signs of Spring come to life once again. Wander to the pretty and calming lakefront and relax in one of our Cedar swings surrounded by the fresh country air. Rejuvenate at ELLORA Spa with one of her refreshing facials. Dine in Morgan's, where the food has been compared to some high quality NYC restaurants. Sleep soundly amongst 30 acres of peacefulness. Awake to a hearty breakfast and then relax some more before the shuttle service returns you back to the Wassaic station and Metro North Railroad andhome once again.
This special getaway package is available through the month of April only. Book your getaway soon!
World Water Day!
Vanessa is at it again, celebrating "World Water Day" with the Potter Quilt Retreat Ladies!
Every day is a celebration of something, and apparently we are celebrating water today. I celebrated by taking a brisk walk to my favorite body of water, and that is the Interlaken's lakefront. I know there's water under that big sheet of ice somewhere, and I can't wait to see it flowing once again very soon! Canoeing, swimming, raft building, wedding ceremonies, Intermingle cocktail hour - the lakefront is the perfect place for anything!
Now, we can't celebrate the lake when it's frozen (when is Ice day?) so Vanessa has acknowledged the day by creating these amazing pitchers of herb/fruit/spice infused water. Why have plain H20 when you can try Strawberry & Basil or Cucumber? The Quilting Ladies seemed to enjoy the fresh offerings - thanks Vanessa!
Interlaken has lots of water! Here is our outdoor heated pool which will be open once again Memorial Day Weekend....
Rent our private Lakeside Cabin this season and look out your window and see this beauty, Lake Wononpakook. (Yes, Interlaken is truly nestled between two lakes!)
We have two Suites (soon to be 3!) that have outdoor hot tubs....
And finally, you can't have a hot cup of Harney Tea without water!
