25 years of Music
For twenty-five years, Scott Heth and friends (as we like to call them) have been playing their tunes at Interlaken. From Scott doing a solo act to their 8 piece band that rings in our New Year, Scott's jazz trio currently plays every Saturday evening in Morgan's Restaurant. Make your dinner reservation after 6:30pm any Saturday and your meal will be enhanced with the perfect amount of piano, bass and drums.
Thank you, Scott, for your many melodies over the years!
Canoes. Kayaks. Rowboats. Sailboats. Pontoon boats. People. Birds. Now we will be able to see something else that is new on our lakefront.
I've never tried stand-up paddle boarding, have you? If you'd like to, now you can your next visit to Interlaken! You will just need to have at least nine other people looking to join you to make the fun happen.
The latest addition to our corporate retreat, family reunion and wedding party offerings, The Litchfield County Paddler has teamed up with Interlaken to host their instruction right here on Lake Wononscopomuc. Our lakefront is the perfect spot to learn as it's just so peaceful - you will never be disturbed with speedboats or jet skis whizzing by, creating waves that may make you a bit unsteady. The waters of Lake Wononscopomuc are clear and cool, and also the deepest in the State of Connecticut.
Advance reservations are necessary, so click here for more information.
Memorial Day Marriage
The weather forecasters missed this one! It was a beautiful day to exchange vows at the pretty lakefront, then follow it with a celebration under our wedding pavilion, surrounded by freshly bloomed - and very green - gardens.
Planting at Interlaken Inn
It always makes me happy seeing the Salisbury Garden Truck in our parking lot this time of year. Emily and Sara just drove in with two truckloads of colorful annual plants, spiky vines, potted moss planters and vibrant hanging baskets to grace every building on the Interlaken property.
This is just a smidge of what they brought and what they will plant this week in order to have the property looking perfectly pretty this Memorial Day weekend.
I love empty pots too - hmmm, what will be growing in this beautiful pot this summer? You'll have to come and see!
Their new plantings in front of our main building from 2 seasons ago are flourishing already!
Salisbury Garden Center is located less than 10 minutes from Interlaken, so you too can bring home something local!
