Our Table is Open
You can make dining reservations at Morgan's Restaurant several ways - call us, email us, or sign up via Open Table. Open Table is such a convenient way to find a restaurant, check for availaibity and read reviews:
Great find, food and service
We were guests at the Interlaken Inn and after debating the propsect of having dinner "off campus" we decided to try the hotel restaurant "Morgan's". What a great decision. The food was excellent and very fresh. The salad and soup were delicious and nicely presented. The entrees flavorful and well proportioned. The salmon was perfectly prepared. The special pasta was excellent as well. The service was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Our server, William, demonstrated a great instinct for the right balance between providing attentive service and leaving us alone at the table.
Want to see some of the dishes recently prepared at Morgan's? View Morgan's Instagram! Be prepared to get hungry!
What are some our most popular dishes these past couple of weeks? Let me share.
Sauteed Organic Scottish Salmon with Cucumbers, Beluga Lentils, and Saffron Yogurt
Hudson Valley Duck Breast with Grilled Nectarines, Farro, Lacinato Kale, and Red Wine Caramel
Maine Lobster with Sweet Peas, Applewood Smoked Bacon and Ricotta Gnocchi
And don't forget dessert:
Cardamon-burnt orange Creme Brulee
We also offer a Chef's Tasting Menu - A six course Chef's 'farm to table' tasting menu for dinner in Morgan's Restaurant. Call us to reserve and Chef Scimeca will customize a private menu based on the bounty of the Litchfield Hills and Berkshires.
Our chef tasting on Friday night was simply amazing and we can not say enough good things about it. So good that we ate at the restaurant again Saturday night!
Morgan's Restaurant is open 7 days a week, and reservations are happily accepted.
Building your Team at Interlaken
Before I write anything, let me show you the pictures first. What fun do you think is going on here?
It's a Photo Safari!
The Photo Safari is just one of our many team building options we offer at Interlaken. Not just for corporate groups, our team building activities are a wonderful and productive way to bring together groups of people to accomplish a specific task. But what is the ultimate goal? "To have fun"!
The Photo Safari is where the group is divided into teams, and each team is given a digital camera along with a list of items they must find about the property. Some clues include:
- Find the cow on property, take a photo of two of your mates milking the cow
- Entire team in the dark with light shining on their faces
- Everyone’s hand on a white birch tree
- Team playing “duck, duck, goose” on lawn with Interlaken Inn sign in background
Now, the fun doesn't stop there! The real challenge lies when the group heads back to the meeting room and all photos are placed on an LCD projector and each photo is "judged" to see if it qualifies for points. For example, even though one of the groups were all around the white birch tree, one team member did not have her hand on it, so that photo did not receive the points. This is where there are some grumblings in the crowd, so remember it's all about the details! The team with the most points wins!
Just one of many Team Building options available at Interlaken!
Welcome CT Challenge!
Bike riding through scenic Northwest Connecticut to support Cancer Survivors - sounds like a 'win-win', doesn't it?
The Interlaken once again is honored to welcome the many cyclists arriving here to support the CT Challenge, a 2-Day Ride beginning tomorrow, Friday, July 25th. Cyclists will ride about 80 miles of gorgeous countryside down to Fairfield, CT. The event continues on Saturday where over 1000 riders will depart on Day 2 of the Challenge from Fairfield to Westport, CT.
Funds raised support survivorship programs and events at the CT Challenge Center for Survivorship and at hospitals around the State who are members of the CT Challenge Survivorship Network, in addition to groundbreaking research that will benefit cancer survivors everywhere.
The Connecticut Challenge empowers cancer survivors to live healthier, happier and longer lives by creating and funding unique survivorship programs and research. In 2012, programs funded by the CT Challenge impacted the lives of over 54,000 cancer survivors.
360 degree views
I was fortunate enough to take a boat out onto Lake Wononscopomuc this afternoon, and thought I'd share my beautiful and relaxing views with you.
Completely surrounded by beauty.
No matter where you look, this is what you'll see. As you approach the perimeter of the deepest lake in Connecticut you will also see some amazing homes (both year round and summer), the always busy Lakeville Town Grove, jumping fish, the mighty Hotchkiss school on the hill, a very small 'island', and some seagulls. You'll also see the Interlaken's lakefront which looks like this:
There are other places to stay when visiting this part of Connecticut and up into the Berkshires, but why miss out on this wonderful amenity? It's a must do while visiting Interlaken.
Only 6 more weeks of summer! Come and relax.
